Marchaa is designed with families in mind. These safety guidelines help you have the best and safest experience possible when buying, selling, and meeting other community members.

Safe Buying

Check Before You Buy

• Read the full listing description and condition carefully.
• Review the seller's rating and previous feedback.
• Ask for additional photos if the listing photos are unclear.
• Verify that the item is not on any product recall list for your country.

Safe Meetups

• Meet in public places — shopping centres, coffee shops, or police station parking lots.
• Bring a friend or family member when possible.
• Meet during daylight hours.
• Do not share your home address until you have established trust with the other party.
• Inform someone you trust about the meetup location and time.

Safe Selling

• Only list items in honest condition — do not hide defects.
• Do not include background details in photos that reveal your home address.
• Use Marchaa's messaging — not personal phone numbers — for initial communications.
• Accept payment via agreed methods only.

Account Safety

• Use a strong, unique password for your Marchaa account.
• Enable two-factor authentication (OTP) in your security settings.
• Do not share your login credentials with anyone.
• Log out of shared devices after each session.

For Parents with Children's Accounts

• Review your child's listings and messages regularly.
• Accompany children to any in-person exchanges.
• Educate children never to share personal information online.

Report Safety Concerns

If you encounter anything that concerns you — a suspicious user, an unsafe product listing, or inappropriate communication — use the Report button immediately or email safety@marchaa.com. Safety reports are reviewed within 4 hours.
