When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored encrypted). If you register via Google, we receive your Google display name and profile picture.
Profile Information
You may optionally provide your city, age group, and a short bio. This information helps personalise your experience and is displayed on your public profile only if you choose to make it visible.
Listing Information
When you create a listing, we store the title, description, price, condition, category, and any images you upload.
Usage Information
We collect standard log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security monitoring and improving our service.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Marchaa marketplace.
- To verify your identity and prevent fraud.
- To send transactional emails (OTP codes, account confirmations).
- To send optional notification emails you have opted into.
- To enforce our community rules and Terms & Conditions.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your contact information with other users. We may share aggregated, non-identifiable data for research or reporting purposes.

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is anonymised within 30 days.

Children under 13 must have a parent or guardian create and manage their Marchaa account. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
